    Your first real trek in India, wow what a place to get started Leroy! Gangotri national park looks stunning, inspiring to journey to “the source” as Mr Peart would say!

    Humbling to see people with so little on the outside, so happy, they are “rich” in the true meaning of the word. I love your description of the Ashram and how it functions as a rest house for the pilgrimage route. As you say its a vital part of society, not cosseting, but sustaining those on their spiritual journey. Surely there is no better kind of hospitality.
