Perfectly Normal

We are connected

In a web of living colour

All shades of a gentle love;

Empty of meaning, far beyond belief,

Finding purpose in the

Harmony within,

Ever changing, we are…..

We are connected, we are related,

All energies interact

In the space in which we share;

The thoughts that rise,

The place where we hide,

A dusty mirror, the essence of all things.

We are linked and cannot deny

Our shared emotions,

The empathy that resides within us all,

No matter how muffled,

There is a voice that speaks truth

Deeply, from one heart,

A shared compassion,

The joy experienced in peace,

Our potential which cares

And forgives our numbness,

Our blindness within the light.

Divinity is perfectly normal.

In the energies we embody,

May we realise our innate power,

Realise our boundless nature,

Better to serve

By helping others and giving

Without recourse.

Always doing a little, for all;

A little more good, because we can

Be ever humble and simple.

Love reveals that darkness

Is filled with light.

May no one suffer in silence

And ever feel alone,

Separated from the freedom and instincts

Of an innocent child.

May we feel balance, here,

Conscious of our limitations,

Boundless between thought,

Aware of the dreamless states that come,

Awakened to the eternal.

Inside, outside,

Ever present.

Outside, inside,

All one.

Freedom from fear – Nisargadatta Maharaj

Stop attributing names and shapes to the essentially nameless and formless, realize that every mode of perception is subjective, that what is seen or heard, touched or smelled, felt or thought,expected or imagined, is in the mind and not in reality, and you will experience peace and freedom from fear. ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

LOVE )John Lennon(

There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance. We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections. If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create. Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.

lets play

let me craft something

or other,

let me approach this page

in peace.

let me write something down,

allow me to be transparent before you,

share my love with you,

see me blue.

let me be lost here,

allow me to be lost everywhere,

to never feel sane in the insane

or material in the immaterial.

let me rock and weave

let me cry out to no one and believe,

let me sin no more before the ash or willow

(showering seeds),

let me bake you bread

and feed you.

let me share with you

some joy, let us share it together,

let us come around

to our ecology,

worship the hills;

spectacularly natural

and no more.

let us befriend old ghosts

and start some fires

in hearts

and in our own,

burn our rational tickets.

western man, with your philosophy

of warfare and

in all these emerging locusts,

we cannot be magnificent.

this is no cosmic apocalypse,

no pilgrimage.

this is it!  the thing.  the one.

we don’t know what we’re doing……..

how about you worship me

and I worship you!

all things idolatry,

lets make love with Moloch

lets play.

The Oneness – We Are All One!

A brief, inspirational mix of video clips, with music that relates to our oneness:

This a quote from the controversial comedian Bill Hicks that effected me greatly as a young chap, helped me to get my head around things:

“The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it’s very brightly colored, and it’s very loud, and it’s fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, “Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?” And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, “Hey, don’t worry; don’t be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.” And we … kill those people. “Shut him up! I’ve got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real.” It’s just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It’s only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here’s what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.”

The Way of Zen

Sunset, Dinas Dinlle

You light the fire;

I’ll show you something nice –

A great ball of snow!

The long night;

The sound of the water

Says what I think.

Gochiku

The stars on the pond;

Again the winter shower

Ruffles the water.

How admirable,

He who thinks not, ‘Life is fleeting,’

When he sees the lightning!

Basho

The shattered mirror will reflect no more;

The fallen flower will hardly rise to the branch.

Zenrin

The theif

Left it behind –

The moon at the window.

The wind brings

Fallen leaves enough

To make a fire.

Ryokan

Mountain on a garden

No thought, no reflection, no analysis,

No cultivation, no intention;

Let it settle itself.

Tibetan Tilopa

Nantlle Valley, Snowdonia

‘In this moment there is nothing which comes to be.  In this moment there is nothing which ceases to be. Thus there is no birth-and-death to be brought to be brought to an end. Wherefore the absolute tranquility (of nirvana) is this present moment.  Though it is at this moment there is no limit to this moment, and herein is eternal delight.’
T’an Ching

‘If the mind is not overlaid with the wind and waves, you will always be living among blue mountains and green trees.  If your true nature has the creative force of Nature itself, wherever you may go, you will see fishes leaping and geese flying.’

Hung Tzu-ch’eng

The Wisdom of Joseph Campbell

Follow your bliss……………

“If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Wherever you are—if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time.”

“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.

Find a place inside where there’s joy, and the joy will burn out the pain.

I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive.

Love is a friendship set to music.

We’re so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about.

Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.

What each must seek in his life never was on land or sea. It is something out of his own unique potentiality for experience, something that never has been and never could have been experienced by anyone else.

When we quit thinking primarily about ourselves and our own self-preservation, we undergo a truly heroic transformation of consciousness.

When you make the sacrifice in marriage, you’re sacrificing not to each other but to unity in a relationship.

Your life is the fruit of your own doing. You have no one to blame but yourself.

Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.

Computers are like Old Testament gods; lots of rules and no mercy.

Every religion is true one way or another. It is true when understood metaphorically. But when it gets stuck in its own metaphors, interpreting them as facts, then you are in trouble.

God is a metaphor for that which transcends all levels of intellectual thought. It’s as simple as that.

I don’t have to have faith, I have experience.

I think the person who takes a job in order to live – that is to say, for the money – has turned himself into a slave.

Is the system going to flatten you out and deny you your humanity, or are you going to be able to make use of the system to the attainment of human purposes?

It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure.

Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it. The meaning of life is whatever you ascribe it to be. Being alive is the meaning.

Myths are public dreams, dreams are private myths.

One way or another, we all have to find what best fosters the flowering of our humanity in this contemporary life, and dedicate ourselves to that.

Opportunities to find deeper powers within ourselves come when life seems most challenging.

Participate joyfully in the sorrows of the world. We cannot cure the world of sorrows, but we can choose to live in joy.

The big question is whether you are going to be able to say a hearty yes to your adventure.

The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.”
